The Koundouros Windmill sits on top of a hill overseeing the rest of this small picturesque community of windmills on this most famous and unique Koundouros Kean bay. Koundouros is the second-largest residential area on Kea island well known for its stone-built residences, many varied sandy beaches some of which are organized and a number of quaint tavernas and restaurants. Daily sunsets provide a rewarding epilogue to its residents.
